Coronavirus Updates 

Office is now closed - 24th March 2020 (Amended 26th March 2020)

Following the governments advice regarding non-essential shops our office in Findon village has been closed and will remain closed until it is safe to do so. 

However, we are still able to carry out essential emergency works with regards to your plumbing and heating. You can continue to call us on 01903 872828 as all calls will be diverted to our designated engineer during this time. Depending on the nature of the call, we may be able to provide you assistance via video call or through photos. If this is the case, the engineer will provide you with the designated number for this during your call.

Should the engineer need to arrange for a visit, the government guidelines of social distancing and making us aware of self-isolation and symptoms applies.

If you are wanting to get an non-emergency appointment booked in, please do let us know and we will add you to our list so when it is safe for us to carry out these appointments, we can get everyone booked in accordingly. 

Boiler Servicing and guarantees

Whilst some companies are still carrying out boiler servicing whilst following the guidelines of social distancing, it may be worth checking with your boiler manufacturer about what they are offering in terms of relaxing the time frames in which you can get your boiler serviced whilst keeping your guarantee validated.

Gas Safety Certificates

We know it is important that your rented properties have a in-date gas safety certificate but if tenants are self-isolating or are simply not wanting anyone in the property during this time, then providing you have tried to get it booked in and can document this then the gas safety can be carried out when all parties are available.

A message to our customers - 17th March 2020

As valued customers and because of the trade industry we are in, we wanted to give you an update on what we, at Domestic Heating & Electrical Services Ltd are doing and would like to do to help minimise the spread of COVID-19.

We are continuing to operate as usual whilst following the government guidance and will keep ourselves and you, as our customers, updated on business practices following guidance from Public Health England and the UK Government.

It is important for us to be able to continue providing our services when you need us, whether it’s for an emergency or a routine service. We are making sure that any and all procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of engineers and staff as well as our customers.

To help minimise the spread of COVID-19, we have been and will be putting safety measures into place including the following:

- All engineers have been instructed the need to self-isolate should they display symptoms

- During a visit, engineers will be asking customers to clear belongings if necessary to avoid surface contact

- There will be no handshakes or contact upon arrival

- We will keep and ask to keep a suitable distance between engineers and customers during appointments and trust our customers will support this decision.

- We will keep all staff and engineers updated on hygiene and best practices during visits

All we ask from you is that if you are self-isolating or are showing cold and flu symptoms that you please let us know when booking a visit so we can review each appointment and book it in accordingly depending on the nature of the visit. If you have already booked an appointment with us and need to self-isolate or are showing symptoms, please advise as soon as possible so we can review on whether we need to postpone your appointment to a later date.
